About Career Development center
The Career Development Centre (CDC) at PSG College of Arts and Science supports students in shaping and managing their career by building key ingredients required for them to become an all-round professional and establish a foundation upon which to build their careers. The Center provides services such as academic advising and career coaching that inspires students to discover their strength, gain confidence and develop their career plan from the day they start the University.
Training process
Skill Enhancement & Employability Development Program (SEED)
The SEED program is envisaged, developed and managed by Learning and Development Team – Branding and Corporate Communications department
- As part of SEED program, during their first year, irrespective of their departments, all students are trained on general life skills training topics like goal setting, etiquette, etc.,
- During their second year , they are trained on basic verbal and aptitude topics. Students are also oriented on stream specific topics
- In their final year, they are grouped and groomed according to their career choices
Career choice
- Students will have to undergo the SEED (Skill Enhancement & Employability Development) program in the 1st and 2nd years of their study
- In the final year, students will be asked to pick one of the following career choices via an online questionnaire
- Students who opt for campus placements as their career choice will be inducted into a career orientation program to help them navigate through the entire placement process
