Admission Schedule & Process

The following schedule and guidelines outline the admission process for TNHSE, CBSE, Other Boards and PG programmes at PSG College of Arts & Science.

Important Dates for Admission (2026 – 27)

TNHSE Board – Admission Timeline

Date of Publication of TNHSE Results

Will be announced by TN Government

Last date for Registration of Online Application for TNHSE Board

Second day from result publication (till 5:00 PM)

Generation of overall Rank List & Publication of Admission Counselling details (Date and Slots) for TNHSE Board

  • Counselling date, and slots will be intimated to the applicants on the second day from the date of publication of 12th results (after 10.00 p.m.), through mail and in application login page.

Commencement of Admission Counselling for Special Category

On the third day from the publication of 12th TNHSE Board results, admission counselling for Special category (Sports, NCC, Ex-Servicemen and Differently abled) will be done separately at respective venues at PSGCAS.

Commencement of Admission Counselling for TNHSE Board

On the forth day from the date of publication of 12th TNHSE Board results, admission counselling for language programmes, arts and science (based on 12th subjects) will be done separately in the respective venues at PSGCAS.

Commencement of Admission Counselling for Spot Admission Programmes

Admission Counselling for Spot Admission Programmes will start from the first day of publication of 12th results of TNHSE. List of Spot admission programmes and guidelines for admission process are given in the website.

Important Admission Notice – TNHSE Candidates

Admission counselling will commence from the fourth day from the date of publication of 12th TNHSE results. If merit counselling for certain communities is completed, further counselling will be conducted only for available community vacancies.

Candidates who are unable to attend counselling on their allotted date and slot may request re-counselling by sending an email to admission@psgcas.ac.in .

Re-counselling will be permitted only for candidates with valid reasons and will be conducted based on availability of vacancies in the respective programmes.

The re-counselling process will be scheduled in subsequent days, once the existing rank list lapses.

Admission Process – CBSE & Other Boards

Admission counselling for CBSE candidates will be conducted similar to TNHSE, after the publication of CBSE Board results.

Candidates from other boards such as NIOS, ICSE / ISC, Kerala HSE, Karnataka HSE, Telangana HSE, Andhra HSE and other Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for admission after the release of their respective 12th results.

If results of multiple boards are published at the same time, admissions for those boards may be combined with CBSE counselling.

PG Programmes – Admission Timeline

Counselling Commencement

Admission counselling for PG programmes will begin from 2nd week of June.

Merit-Based Counselling

Counselling will be conducted based on merit. If counselling for certain communities is completed, further admissions will be done only for available community vacancies.

Unable to Attend Counselling

Candidates who are unable to attend on the allotted date and slot may request re-counselling by emailing admission@psgcas.ac.in.

Re-Counselling Process

Re-counselling will be conducted based on availability of vacancies and only candidates with valid reasons will be permitted.

Subsequent Re-Counselling

Re-counselling will be conducted in the subsequent days once the current rank list lapses.

Important Eligibility Note

Admission is based on Part III marks. Candidates who have not passed all mandatory papers or have arrears (including in the 6th semester) will have their admission cancelled without notice.
