Exam Hall Ticket
The hall ticket for the comprehensive examination will be made available in the official website of PSG College of Arts & Science. The hall ticket can be downloaded by all students, deemed to be eligible to appear for examinations. The hall ticket shall comprise the following information: Register number of the candidate, Name of the candidate, Programme and Branch and subject details for which the candidate is appearing for the examination. Any discrepancy in downloading the hall ticket or evident flaws in the content can be represented for clarification to the Controller of Examination Cell in the College.
Rules in Examination Halls
- Students’ are not allowed to enter the hall 30 minutes after the commencement of exam; and cannot leave the hall within 30 minutes of the start of the exam.
- Strict silence must be maintained in the examination venues.
- Malpractices in any form in Comprehensive Examination and Continuous Assessment will be punished in accordance with the categories mentioned below:
Malpractices in Comprehensive Examinations and penalties:
Category – I
- Scribbling on the question paper, writing sessional marks in the answer script and requesting for a pass or writing an appeal to the examiner coupled with promise of any form of consideration.
Penalty Applies for Sl. No. 1:
The candidate indulges in the above will be served with a warning that recurrence will attract severe punishments.
Category – II
- Candidate found in possession of mobile phone / electronic gadgets or the material written in the form of printed / xeroxed / cyclostyled / hand written on paper, cloth, scale, furniture etc., but not found to have copied from that above.
- Candidates leaving the hall within half an hour from the commencement of examination, with or without question / answer paper.
- Candidates being abetted by the another candidate but not in possession of any incriminating materials / and not made use of it in the examinations.
Penalty applies for Sl. No. 2, 3, & 4:
The particular examination taken by the candidate stands cancelled and he/she will not be permitted to write rest of the examinations of that semester, including supplementary and additional subjects. However the result of the examinations written prior to that date of malpractice will be published.
Category – III
- Candidates found copying from the mobile phone / electronic gadgets or other incriminating materials owned or written on hand etc, or borrowed in the form of printed / xeroxed / cyclostyled / handwritten or in any other means ie. Written on paper, cloth, scale, furniture or answer book of another candidate etc.
- Candidate knocking away his / her own or any other candidates answer scripts from the table.
Penalty Applies for Sl. No. 5 & 6 :
The particular examination taken by the candidate and the examinations taken prior to the date of malpractice stand cancelled and he/she will not be permitted to write the rest of the examinations, if any, in that semester, including supplementary / additional subjects of examinations.
Category – IV
- Inserting previously written answer sheets brought from outside, aiding or assisting for copying from additional book pilfered already or passing on written bits for copying.
- Candidate refusing to accompany the Hall Superintendent or to the Principal on account of his / her malpractice of exhibiting verbal resistance inside or outside the examination hall or running out of the hall with or without the answer paper or script.
- Candidate knocking away the question or answer papers from the Chief Superintendent / Hall Superintendent or any other official who possesses them.
- Candidate employing somebody to write examinations (case of impersonation), if such person happens to be our College student.
- Candidate employing some outside person or old student to write examination in his/her place (case of impersonation).
- Candidate threatening or abusing or showing physical resistance to the invigilators or any other College personnel or exhibiting insubordinate behavior inside or outside the examination hall
- Candidate manhandling / assaulting / causing physical injury to the Chief Superintendent /
Hall Superintendents / any other officials connected with the examination.
- Candidates committing forgery either prior or during the examination.
Penalty applies for Sl.No. 7-14:
The particular examination taken by the candidate & the examinations taken prior to the date of malpractice stand cancelled and he / she will not be permitted to write the rest of the examinations, if any, in that semester. Also he/she will be debarred from writing the next semester examinations that follow, including supplementary / additional subject of examinations.
Though the above penalties are stipulated for various malpractice cases, it is left to the
discretion of the Examination Committee to affirm, reduce and enhance the penalty depending upon the nature of malpractice.
