About Secretary

Dr T Kannaian holds a PhD in Information and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Anna University and has an MTech from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (batch of 1988) with specialization in Electronics Design Technology. Prior to his MTech, he completed MSc in Physics in 1983 (University Rank Holder) from the Christian College, Marthandam. He has 33 years of teaching and research experience in Electronics. His area of research is in electronics and wearable sensors. He has published more than 20 publications in reputed journals and has a h-index of 10. He has been an advisor to a number of small and medium scale electronics industries in and around Coimbatore.

In his previous employment at Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti from 1985 to 1992, he served as Head of the Department of Computer Science and as Hostel Warden. He then joined PSG College of Arts and Science in the department of Electronics and served till May 2018. During this time, he had also held additional responsibilities in various capacities of which some of the major ones include computerization of student attendance in 1995, coordinator for setting up the Edusat centre and as part of the admissions committee. He coordinated the admission process for the academic years 2017-18 and 2018-19. He is member of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Society of EMC Engineers (India).
