Registration of Applications for UG After publication of +2 marks by TNHSE or CBSE Registration of online application to be done by posting marks in the application and submitting the online application.
Registration of Applications for PG After publication of 6th semester results of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, registration of online application to be done by posting marks in the application and submitting the online application.
Admission to UG Programmes - Aided After 10 days of publication of +2 marks by TNHSE/ CBSE as per Rank list and Merit order according to Government norms.
Admission to UG Programmes – Self-financing Programmes After 3 days of publication of +2 marks by TNHSE/ CBSE as per Rank list and Merit order according to Government norms.
Admission to PG Programmes - Aided After 10 days of publication of results (6th Semester) by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore as per Rank list and Merit order according to Government norms.
Admission to PG Programmes – Self-financing Programmes After 3 days of publication of results (6th Semester) by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore as per Rank list and Merit order according to Government norms.
  • Application and registration of application with marks is available only in online mode.
  • Unique Registration Number is generated for each programme. Applicant can register through his / her account by filling marks obtained through the Applicant Portal to obtain the registration number.
  • Ranking of Applicants for each programmes.
  • All valid registered applicants are ranked based on the following order and a rank list is created:
    • Date/Time of registration (ON-TIME registrations precede LATE registrations).
    • Number of Attempts / Year of Passing (for e.g. single attempt with year of passing as 2022 precede applications with more than one attempt or year of passing as 2021 or earlier).
    • Cut-off (e.g. Marks out of total 400 marks under Part III in Higher secondary exam) or subject marks (e.g. English/Tamil marks in case of admission into B.A. English/B.A. Tamil).
    • In case of equal cut-off between 2 registrations, the ranking will be based on earlier registration date and time.
    • Admission software computes overall ranking for individual applicant in a category immediately based on the filters and ranking rules defined in the system for each programme.
    • Once ranking of all applicants is done for each programme, selection and waiting lists are prepared and published for each allocation in Merit category.
UG Aided courses:
  • In Aided programmes, 90% seats are allocated under Merit quota and remaining seats are filled under Management quota.
  • The Selection and Waiting Lists are created using community allocations from Rank list created for each programme with the number of applications received. The various community allocations are filled as per TN Govt. norms. First, the Open Competition quota allocation is directly filled based on the Rank list and then community reservation ranking are filled as per each allocation.
UG Self-Finance courses:
  • For all UG Self-Finance programmes, 50% seats are allocated for Merit quota and remaining seats filled under Management quota. All Special Category applicants are considered under Merit quota only.
  • From Rank list created, the various community allocations are filled as per TN Govt. norms. First, the Open Competition quota allocation is directly filled based on the Rank list and then community ranking are filled as per each allocation.
  • For instance, if 60 seats are available, 30 seats in Merit are split based on community allocations.
  • Similarly, a Waiting list is prepared as per the vacancy position (as percentage of programmes strength, keeping the community splits intact) defined for each programme excluding the applicants already in selection list.
Special Quota Admissions
  • Apart from Merit category, other Special Category quota, Management quota, applicants also have to complete registration through the common application.
  • Candidates under Physically-disabled, Sports, NCC and Ex-Serviceman categories are considered to be eligible for admission under Special Category quotas.
PG Admissions
  • A similar process is followed for the PG admission after the publication of results by Bharathiar University for the academic year.
M.Phil / Ph.D Admissions
  • M.Phil. & Ph.D. admissions are done as per Bharathiar University Regulations.
