Through this scheme, DBT identified a few colleges all over the nation, to augment student admissions in science courses by funding for the upgradation of department infrastructure, and for conducting more hands-on practical sessions. The scheme played a significant role in improving the skills of the students, inculcating scientific inquisitiveness and led to an experimental study of scientific concepts.
