The Department of Networking and Mobile Application (Self-financed) was established in the year 2019 which is affiliated to the Bharathiar University. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had launched a scheme on 27 February 2014 for skills development-based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree, a full-time credit-based modular program in various emerging disciplines. The course is different from traditional academic programmes as it deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on only theoretical knowledge. One of the biggest advantage of pursuing B.Voc against common degree course is that a candidate has multiple exit points during the programme. This means that if a candidate is unable to complete his/ her BVoc course, s/he is still awarded a diploma after successful completion of first year or advanced diploma after successful completion of second year.
B.Voc curriculum is mapped with job role descriptions as per National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The students are assessed for NASSCOM certification as a part of their curriculum. The course embeds the competencies required for specific job roles in the higher education system to advance the frontiers of research in computer science – Networking and Mobile Application. It offers world-class pedagogical and practical exposures to our students in the domain “Networking and Mobile Application” to face the rapidly changing environment. The department is supported by a team of qualified and highly experienced faculty with various emerging specializations and whose knowledge, insights, and perspectives gained are transformed to keep the students fresh and topical.
To provide adequate Networking and Mobile Application Development skills required that would incorporate specific job roles along with broad based general education.
To ensure the learners have adequate skills, make them work-ready and enhance the employability of the graduate students..
